Introduction

Integrated Forming & Heat Treatment Design

Different from discrete production modes, this steel ball hot rolling induction furnace synchronizes skew rolling forming and post-rolling heat treatment. After the round steel bar is heated by the IGBT induction furnace, the skew rolling mill shapes the billet into steel balls with high roundness in one pass. Freshly formed hot balls are directly conveyed to the quenching station without temperature loss. The seamless transition avoids temperature drop and secondary reheating, cutting extra energy consumption effectively. The matched quenching and tempering unit adjusts cooling intensity and holding temperature according to ball diameter and steel grade, eliminating the quality fluctuation caused by transferring semi-finished balls manually.

IGBT Induction Heat Treatment Core for Stable Performance

The quenching and tempering section adopts independent digital IGBT induction power supplies. The quenching unit achieves rapid and uniform cooling to obtain target surface hardness, while the tempering furnace relieves internal stress steadily. This dual-power configuration prevents brittle fracture and peeling of finished balls. The infrared temperature closed-loop system monitors every steel ball, keeping temperature deviation within a tight range. Finished balls gain balanced hardness and impact toughness, greatly lowering breakage rate during grinding operation. It supports mass production of steel balls from 20mm to 120mm for mining and cement grinding.

PLC Centralized Automatic Control & Easy Operation

The whole line runs under unified PLC control with a touch screen for parameter management. Operators can store multiple process recipes for different ball sizes and material grades. The system automatically adjusts feeding speed, rolling speed, quenching flow and tempering power with one-click switching. Automatic feeding, conveying and sorting reduce manual participation, stabilizing product consistency and cutting labor cost. The modular layout is compact and convenient for workshop installation and expansion. Real-time fault alarm functions help operators spot abnormal conditions promptly to reduce downtime losses.
