The entire process of heating steel billets in an induction heating furnace

1. Automatic feeding

Steel billets (small round steel columns) slide from the material rack into the conveyor roller,

Feed one by one into the heating furnace according to the rhythm.

2. Enter the induction coil

The steel billet passes through the medium/high frequency induction heating coil at a constant speed,

The coil does not touch the steel billet and is completely heated in isolation.

3. Electromagnetic induction generates heat (core principle)

Coil passes alternating current → generates strong magnetic field →

Eddy current is generated inside the steel billet →

Quickly generate heat through its own resistance.

The entire process is without open flames, burners, or contact.

4. Segmented heating and uniform heat transfer

Heating furnaces are generally divided into multiple temperature control stages:

-Front section: Preheating

-Mid section: Rapid heating

-Later section: Thermal insulation and uniform temperature

Ensure consistent temperature inside and outside the steel billet, without external heating or internal cooling.

5. Infrared temperature measurement and control

There is an infrared thermometer at the exit for real-time temperature detection,

Generally heated to around 1100 ℃ to 1200 ℃,

The temperature is not high enough for automatic speed regulation, and it will automatically slow down when the temperature is high.

6. Depart from the furnace and proceed to the next process

After reaching the forging/rolling temperature,

The steel billet is sent out from the outlet of the heating furnace,

Directly enter the ball rolling machine or forging machine to form steel balls.

Characteristics of the entire process

-Fast speed: Burn from room temperature to red heat in just a few seconds

-Anaerobic scale: much cleaner than burning coal or gas

-Uniform temperature: suitable for steel ball forming, not easy to crack

-Continuous automatic: steel billets come one after another without stopping the machine
