Working Principle of steel pipe induction annealing furnace

Working Principle:

The device is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction heating.

Power system: Convert power frequency (50Hz) into medium frequency (usually 100-8000Hz) power.

Induction coil: When a medium frequency current passes through the induction coil surrounding the steel pipe, an alternating magnetic field is generated.

Eddy current heating: An alternating magnetic field penetrates the steel pipe, generating a strong eddy current inside, which rapidly heats up the steel pipe itself (without external conduction).

Temperature control: Real time monitoring of the surface temperature of steel pipes through infrared thermometers, and feedback to the PLC control system, automatically adjusting the power supply to achieve precise process temperature control.

Main application scenarios of steel pipe induction annealing furnace

This device is widely used in the steel pipe manufacturing and processing industry that requires high-quality heat treatment:

Cold drawn/cold-rolled seamless steel pipe: stress relief softening annealing after drawing or rolling.

Welded steel pipe: Stress relief annealing in the weld area to improve the performance of the weld and heat affected zone.

Bearing steel pipes and hydraulic support pipes: precision steel pipes that require high dimensional stability and mechanical performance.

Oil well tubing and casing: pre - or post process of quenching and tempering treatment (in conjunction with quenching wire).

Stainless steel pipes and alloy steel pipes: solution treatment or annealing.
