On‑site installation, commissioning and trial run of Forever Electromechanical full‑set steel ball hot rolling and skew production line have been successfully completed at customer’s workshop. The whole line runs stably, and qualified hot‑rolled grinding steel balls are continuously produced, marking the official launch of this customized induction heating & skew rolling project.

On‑site Assembly: Precise Installation of Complete‑set Units

The project covers automatic bar feeding system,IGBT medium frequency heating power supply, skew rolling mill, online heat‑treatment station and finished‑product conveying system. Forever’s technical team completed on‑site positioning, pipeline wiring, mechanical alignment and inter‑lock debugging. Each station is well‑connected to eliminate material jamming and rhythm mismatch risks, laying solid foundation for continuous mass production.

Heating & Forming Trial: Smooth Skew‑Rolling Process

The first hot test started. Round steel bars are automatically fed into induction furnace, rapidly and evenly heated to rolling temperature range 950‑1120℃ with small oxidation loss. Hot bars are delivered to skew rolling mill in fixed rhythm. Under spiral skew‑roll extrusion, round bars are continuously formed into spherical blanks with good roundness. On‑site inspection shows rolling action is stable without material overflow or surface defects.

Closed‑loop Heat Treatment: Consistent Steel Ball Performance

Right after skew rolling, hot steel balls enter online quenching and tempering station by waste‑heat utilization, no secondary reheating required. PLC system cooperates with infrared thermometry to realize closed‑loop temperature control. Finished steel balls obtain uniform hardness and good impact toughness, meeting technical requirements for mining and cement grinding balls.

Full‑line Continuous Operation: Targets for High‑efficiency Production

After repeated parameter optimization, the whole line realizes automatic running from raw bar input to finished steel‑ball output. Few operators are needed for monitoring and specification switching. The production line supports multiple steel‑ball diameters, quick‑change for different sizes. Energy‑saving induction heating greatly cuts power consumption compared with traditional heating modes.
