The entire production process starts with raw material preparation. Before processing, the raw materials are precisely cut into fixed-length blanks through automatic cutting equipment to ensure consistent weight and specification of each steel ball prototype, which lays a solid foundation for subsequent rolling forming and finished product uniformity. The whole blanking process is completed mechanically, avoiding manual errors and improving material utilization rate effectively.

After blanking, the steel blanks are transported to the medium-frequency induction heating unit, the core part of the production line. Adopting rapid induction heating technology, the equipment quickly heats the steel blanks to the optimal rolling temperature between 1050℃ and 1150℃ within a short time. The heating process achieves uniform temperature inside and outside the blank without overheating or burning loss. Compared with traditional flame furnace heating, induction heating features higher thermal efficiency, less oxidation and decarbonization, and stable heating quality, which greatly improves the surface finish and internal metallographic structure of hot-rolled steel balls.

The heated steel blanks immediately enter the precision hot rolling unit for synchronous rolling and forming. Driven by matched dual rollers with customized curved groove molds, the blanks are continuously squeezed, rotated and formed in the rolling area. The gradual rolling process ensures that the metal fiber structure of the steel ball is distributed uniformly and continuously, effectively improving the ball’s hardness, wear resistance and impact toughness. The rolling system supports real-time parameter adjustment according to different steel ball specifications, realizing precise forming of steel balls of various diameters with minimal dimensional tolerance and high roundness.
After hot rolling forming, the steel balls go through staged cooling and heat treatment procedures. The graded cooling mode prevents rapid temperature drop-induced internal stress and surface cracking, stabilizing the overall mechanical properties of finished products. The production line is equipped with an online screening and sorting device, which automatically detects unqualified products with out-of-size tolerance, surface defects and abnormal roundness, ensuring that all delivered steel balls meet industrial standard requirements. Meanwhile, the whole line adopts closed automatic operation, which effectively reduces manual intervention, lowers production costs, and improves production efficiency significantly.
