Forever Electromechanical Upgrades Real-time Quality Control System for Steel Ball Hot Rolling Production Line

Forever Electromechanical has completed the iterative upgrade of the real-time quality control system for the steel ball hot rolling production line, bringing new digital inspection capabilities to the whole hot rolling process of steel balls. This new system can continuously monitor key parameters in the forming, heating and sizing stages of steel balls, effectively reducing product dimensional deviation and surface defects, and improving the stability of batch production.

Real-time Data Collection Covers the Entire Hot Rolling Process

The real-time quality control system is connected to the induction heating unit, rolling mill and discharge sorting station of the steel ball induction heat treatment production line. It collects temperature, rolling pressure, rotating speed and steel ball outer diameter data at high frequency during production. Once the measured value exceeds the preset threshold, the system will send out early warning signals immediately. Operators can view all production indicators on the human-machine interface, and quickly adjust the heating power and rolling parameters to avoid large quantities of defective products.

Intelligent Defect Identification Reduces Manual Inspection Pressure

Traditional steel ball hot rolling relies heavily on manual sampling inspection, which is prone to missed detection and slow response. The upgraded system adopts visual detection and size measurement modules. It can automatically identify common defects such as surface cracks, pits and out-of-roundness of hot-rolled steel balls online. Unqualified steel balls will be automatically screened out at the discharge end. It greatly cuts the workload of post-process manual inspection and raises the qualified rate of finished steel balls.
